It’s a pity that the Japan researchers did not cite Lundvall (2017) who wrote that countries and organizations promoting ‘experience-based’ knowledge and combining it with science-based knowledge are more innovative than those that only give attention to codified knowledge meaning that scientific production alone is not enough to unleash the innovation potential

“A medicina alternativa ameaça tratamentos que funcionam bem e troca-os por outros perigosos”

O jornal Público dedica hoje duas páginas ao médico alemão Edzard Ernst que amanhã irá falar sobre os perigos das "medicinas" alternativas no Instituto Politécnico de Leiria. porém Como já antes tinha escrito em Maio deste ano tenho sérias dúvidas que o evento seja um sucesso, porque a argumentação científica custa a enfiar na cabeça de muitos, mesmo habilitados com um diploma de ensino superior e custa mais ainda a fazê-lo naqueles com uma baixo nível de instrução, que acham que o método cientifico é apenas um chavão de cientistas arrogantes. 

Esses que acreditam cegamente nas tais “medicinas alternativas” a única forma de os convencer é com a proibição em letra de lei, pela mesma razão que também a "engenharia alternativa" ou a "advocacia alternativa" são ilegais. Não é democrático mas a verdade dos factos cientificamente comprovados também não é coisa democrática.

Ou será que neste país escrever um livro, como fez o juiz Carlos Fraga, é muitíssimo mais grave do que violar a lei repetidas vezes e mandar libertar um traficante de armas e um terrorista ?

“This paper investigates the impact of green technology innovations on carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions based on a data panel covering 71 economies…study provides ample evidence that income levels drive the non-linear nexus between green technology innovations and CO₂ emissions. We find that the effect of green technology innovations exists a single threshold effect with regard to the income level. To be specific, the effect of green technology innovations on reducing CO₂ emissions is more significant for the economies whose income level surpass 34,694 US dollars (per capita)"

Quero por este meio solicitar encarecidamente à nova Ministra da Agricultura (imagem acima), que na sua infinita generosidade mostre misericórdia e releve as palavras pouco simpáticas que sobre ela escrevi há apenas 3 dias atrás, quando disse que a mesma gosta muito de andar com o "com o rabinho sentado em viaturas topo de gama, pagas obviamente com o dinheiro dos palermas dos contribuintes" https://pacheco-torgal.blogspot.com/2019/10/a-sr-procuradora-sr-secretaria-de.html  pois dizer isso de uma Secretária de Estado (leia-se Ajudante de Ministro) ainda no limite se pode aceitar, agora de uma Ministra é que já é coisa inadmissível.

Porque é que os amigos dos vigaristas e de outros criminosos os protegem ?

 

Abaixo resumo de recente artigo de investigadores dos EUA que ajuda a perceber porque é que por exemplo muitos políticos assobiam ao cochicho (famosa expressão utilizada pelo Presidente Marcelo quando em tempos vestiu o fato de comentador dominical residente na TVI) sempre que alguns dos seus amigos são apanhados com a boca na botija. 

“Across a series of ten studies involving a total of almost 3,000 participants…examined how people say they would respond if someone close to them were to commit a crime….Participants were more likely to respond that they would lie to the police officer when they imagined that someone close to them had committed the crime….And, worryingly, the effect was strongest when the crime was at the severe end of the scale….doing so allows a person to simultaneously (a) maintain their self-image as a morally upstanding individual and (b) preserve and even enhance the close relationship….These findings could explain why, time and again, we hear of high profile figures who have been committing horrific crimes for decades, aided by the silence of their close friends and family.”https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/0146167219873485
