Hearing Mr. Trump saying that ISIS leader died like a dog is not surprising in the context of the article above and also Trump´s policy to separate immigrant mothers from their children that was compared by several Americans to Nazi-like practices. The former Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke said the following:

Ignorantes heróis e o artigo que esta semana aparece no Bulletin of Atomic Scientists

Como houve muitos altamente incomodados pelo facto da jovem Thunberg ter faltado à escola incluindo pasme-se até mesmo o próprio Vasco Pulido Valente, convinha que agora mostrassem a mesma indignação por conta de um recente inquérito que deu conta que mais de 30% dos futebolistas (que excessivas vezes aparecem nos media associados a heróis) não concluíram o ensino obrigatório.

E isso já para nem falar que faltar à escola em prol de uma causa extremamente urgente, dessa forma ajudando a mediatizar a mensagem que estranha mas convenientemente não entra na cabeça de muitos, que se o Planeta tem limites não há sustentabilidade sem limites individuais  https://pacheco-torgal.blogspot.com/2019/10/o-racista-infantil-activista-e-os.html  tem um valor muito superior a faltar à escola para dedicar a vida à alienação da bola. A parte lamentável é que a acção da da jovem Thunberg embora romântica é na verdade inútil porque nada de realmente significativo vai mudar e portanto enquanto não chegam as inevitáveis consequências talvez a alienação seja uma opção de vida pelo menos para alguns.

E mesmo quando o fazem são muito modestos na "divulgação/facturação" quando optam por escrever sobre "Top 25% of the 100.000 most cited scientists", já que seria bastante mais impressionante fazerem a comparação relativamente ao grupo de 35 milhões de cientistas, o que colocaria os referidos cientistas da Universidade do Porto no Top 0.07%, pois o Prof. da universidade de Stanford John Ioannidis enviou-me um email em 04-09-2019 a propósito do ranking supra onde refere que "...rank 20000 is still in the top 0.05% given that there are 35 million scientists."

Idílicos (porém Irrealistas) cenários sobre o futuro das cidades

O jornal Público escreveu esta semana sobre aquilo que serão as cidades no ano 2050 (link acima) só se esquecendo que esses cenários não equacionam algo sobre o qual se escreveu abaixo, que o futuro das cidades será muito condicionado pelo aumento da probabilidade de actos de terrorismo nessas áreas.

1 - How long will it take for Unexplained Wealth Orders to be universally implemented across all European countries, particularly in those nations grappling with higher levels of corruption? 

2 - Why hasn't there been consideration for establishing a European federal police force dedicated specifically to combating corruption?

3 - Should the allocation of European cohesion funding be contingent upon the implementation of robust anti-corruption measures?
