The Economist__"Covid dries up a cash cow"

Still following the post above about an article recently published on The Economist, on superior races and pornographic food contests its worth mentioning another important article in the same weekly newspaper. Entitled "Covid dries up a cash cow" it concerns the fact that since the European economy got frozen by Covid the African immigrants in Europe are stoping their remittances into their relatives living in Africa. 

Officially recorded official remittances worth 46 billion USD in 2018 and undeclared remittances amount to around 16-35 billion USD a year. According to The Economist companies that handle remittances reported decreases by 80% and even 90%. And that fact will further aggravate the hunger pandemic mentioned in the post in the link above.
