The not so brigth future (of some universities) in UK

"That is why, as a vice-chancellor puts it, everyone is nervous as hell"

The phrase above was taken from an article in the last number of The Economist entitled "Time to think small". On it, its mentioned that universities in UK asked for a 2 billion government bailout that it will hardly happen. The article even mentions those that "who would have been financially better off had they not attended university". And it ends in a not so happy premonitory manner:  "It sounds like universities with poor graduate prospects in richer parts of the country should be worried"
