“It could be as long as “four or five years” before
covid-19 is under control and the pandemic could “potentially get worse”… a
vaccine “seems for now the best way out,” but it could stop working if the
virus mutates.
I have no
idea if the prediction of WHO chief scientist is accurate still the last number
of the magazine "The Economist" has two articles about the global
food system that shows there is not a single country in the world that is not
dependent on food importations. The second article even as an interesting image
showing how the import dependency rate has evolved in the last 20 years. While
a few countries have reduced that dependency the majority of the world has not.
Also interesting is the fact that the area with more countries with aggravated
dependency is Europe.
