IPCC reports Oceans are rising faster…the problem is that this is an exceedingly optimistic position

Most, unfortunately, the recent article in the link above does not say a single word about what Ian Dunlop and David Spratt have found:  “IPCC reports tend toward reticence and caution, erring on the side of “least drama”, and downplaying the more extreme and more damaging outcomes.”
Spratt, D. and Dunlop, I., 2018. What lies beneath: the understatement of existential climate risk. Published by Breakthrough, National Centre for Climate Restoration, Melbourne, Australia.

Its obvious that IPCC are facing pressure from Governments to avoid releasing projections that may induce panic because panic is bad for business but since the duty of academia is not to political agendas but only to the truth https://pacheco-torgal.blogspot.com/2019/09/the-responsibility-of-intellectuals-to.html its understandable why just one month ago a Professor of Physics at the University of Oxford authored a paper where one can read the following:
“Let’s get this on the table right away, without mincing words. With regard to the climate crisis, yes, it’s time to panic”
Pierrehumbert, R., 2019. There is no Plan B for dealing with the climate crisis. Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, pp.1-7.
