Below
the 5
European countries previously compared in here ranked by their
performance concerning "Sustainable Total Factor Productivity" that
incorporates two comprehensive indicators, ecological footprint, and, human
development index
Italy
Germany
Portugal
Spain
Netherlands
In the original 55 countries list, the Netherlands appears in position 31, but
of course, if the list had concerned just the ecological footprint the
Netherlands would have a much worse performance. So maybe the Netherlands
should try to be more sustainable and less judgemental. Probably before
they spoke about lazy
Germans they should start doing something about a notorious group of
lazy Dutch that appears below and which spends 350 million euro per year

PS - In Portugal we also had a notorius group of lazy persons but fortunately, a
brave Portuguese named Manuel Buiça solved that problem for us more than 100
years ago. Before that most important event he wrote the following piece:
"...My children will remain
poor; I have nothing to leave them, except my name and my respect and
compassion for those who suffer. I plead that they be educated in the
principles of liberty, equality and fraternity...and for whom they remain,
through providence, in short, orphans" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Bu%C3%AD%C3%A7a
