Paper - Aedes aegypti infestation in European cities by 2100

"Climate change allows Aedes aegypti to infest new areas. Consequently, it enables the arboviruses the mosquito transmits - e.g., dengue, chikungunya, Zika and yellow fever – to emerge in previously uninfected areas...Our results strongly support the necessity of enforcing global carbon emission policy, as signed in the Paris Agreement, to prevent wider scale infestation of Aedes aegypti in Europe"

The paper above by researchers of Sweden, Germany, and Austria was put onli by February of 2019. Its authors still think that we can avoid the worst-case scenario but since the Paris Agreement is already as good as dead https://pacheco-torgal.blogspot.com/2019/12/thomas-rowland-rees-phd-in-physics-from.html then Europe must prepare for the growing number of babies that will be affected by Zika related microcephaly in the next decades! Let´s not forget that the Zika outbreak in some states in Northeast Brazil was responsible for up to 5670 microcephaly cases per 1 million births !
