Since German ministers have recently voted against a
proposal to impose speed limits on the country's highways only because of
the lobbying power of the German automobile industry so that the owners of the
high power high polluting cars can satisfy their addiction to accelerate at
will, thus preventing those models from being withdrawn from circulation as
they should have been a long time ago https://www.npr.org/2019/01/25/688232647/a-speed-limit-on-german-highways-like-talking-gun-control-in-the-u-s
And since
even the new European car emission threshold of 95 grams of CO2 per Km that
will go into effect beyond January 1 of 2020 means that someone who
drives a car that emits just 95 grams of CO2 per Km and travels on
average 40 km per day with that car will produce around 1400 kg of CO2 per year which
is almost the total that anyone is entitled in an annual basis according to
this study https://pacheco-torgal.blogspot.com/2019/10/is-it-possible-to-achieve-good-life-for.html
So it almost seems that it is absolutely clear that we
inevitably have to surrender to this. Unfortunately, this
option may be the most convenient for the inhabitants of rich countries, but it
is very bad for the inhabitants of poor countries, and therefore it would not
be a complete surprise that the terrorist cyber-attacks mentioned here would be initiated precisely on the
infrastructure of those luxury brands that produce car models that emit almost
500 grams of CO2 per km
P.S - It's
worth remembering that In the posts below I suggested persecuting those
responsible for a high level of carbon dioxide emissions
