Michael Shellenberger__Environmentally speaking "we live in the best of all possible worlds"

Michael Shellenberger (author of 9 publications indexed on Scopus) author of the joke book "Apocalypse Never" is almost like the famous endlessly-optimistic character of Voltaire (Prof. Pangloss) who kept saying that "we live in the best of all possible worlds" even after having being tortured!

The difference between Shellenberger (the poster boy of the nuclear business) and Prof. Pangloss is that the latter had no idea what nuclear energy was while the former believes that only nuclear energy will save Humanity:
"few things make one feel more immortal than saving the life of a nuclear plant. Maybe that´s because nuclear energy itself could be said to be immortal...Today´s nuclear plants can easily operate from eightyyears and might run for one hundred..."

Unfortunately, the moment we "speak" nuclear energy is already "saving" the ocean
